Elias Giving hugs and Kisses
Carol Hodroff / Moore

Elias, My Loving little Angel. My Little Boo boy. Words can't possibly express my Sorrow of losing You.
I was Truly Blessed to Have You and Raise You For the First 8 Years of Your Young Life. Although the Doctors told me you Wouldn't ever do much of anything..We Proved them wrong!. I was Blessed to be the first one that you finally gave eye contact too, I was the one that helped you actually accept and enjoy being touched and held, Through lots of work and love, and with the assistance of your therapists, You and I together learned how to help you overcome the Obstacles the World Overloaded on you. I was Once Again Blessed to Help you take your first steps, to Help you learn to tolerate all the different textures that would overload your Sensories with. Phones Ringing, cars honking, a knock on the door or the dogs barking. All The While you Struggled to handle the Sensory Overload on your tiny little body.I taught you sign language and was thrilled to see you start to learn it and understand it was a way you could communicate your wants and needs to others. You began to do things no one Ever expected you could do. I'm so sorry I had to leave you. Your Life could have been so much better. Though I taught you alot of things, it was you Sweetheart that Taught me the Most... to always Believe we could make things happen, and the Greatest gift of all was the Unconditional Love and Laughter you can give, even when others didn't believe you could do it! You Taught us Many Things, and for that, I'm eternally grateful. I Thank your Biological Parents, Vicki & Ellis for entrusting you to us, for Without them we Would have never have had you to light up our Lives with your laughter, giggles and smiles.
I know you're in a much better place now that the Lord has taken you home. Although it Breaks my Heart to never to be able to see your smiling face again here, I Know Your finally happy in the Arms of our Lord, Running free, Happy and Healthy, with no more pain or suffering. We'll be together Again some day Honey, Until Then, Rest in Peace, and Know you will be Always on my mind, and Forever in my Heart. I love You so very much, and you are Deeply Missed by all who were Lucky enough to have been apart of your life.

Elias you're now an angel sitting beside God, and basking in the love that surrounds you. You were special from the day you were born, I used to love seeing your smiling face, and your laugh was contagious. You were a joy to behold.

We caught glimpses of Gregg and Elias as they went on walks and walked by our house. We couldn't help but notice the love, care and attention that Gregg gave to Elias. We will miss Elias's beautiful smile.

Elias will be deeply missed by all of us. He was a blessing to our family. Elias was a loving Son to Gregg, Vicky and Ellis. Elias had a special ability to bring out love and care from within the depths of our hearts. We that loved him and cared deeply for him are better people to have known him.

I am so blessed to have known sweet Elias. He has been such a lucky boy to have a wonderful caring and devoted dad in his life. As I working with children and adults of special needs, it’s hard to let just any one care for them. It takes a very unique person and Greg you were that special unique person, be at ease to know that Elias is in the greatest of love now, the care of the Great Spirit.
Elias will be very missed. Loosing a loved one is so hard, the feeling of empty arms and life becoming very quiet, sometime unbearable. Know you are not alone. Elias has blessed you with great memories and is now your funny little guardian angle. Your family is here for you. I know the feeling of loss from a child. My heart is with you to help carry you through. Please let me know if there is any thing I can do to help you through this time of grief.

The bus ride to and from school isn't the same without seeing you and your father everyday. I have enjoyed driving you to school. Bus 95 won't be the same. I will miss your sudden outbursts and claps and especially your laugh and smile. I know Kerri, my bus aid, will miss the times you sat next to her and your surprising hugs. God was so good to you to give you your dad, Gregg. I have never seen such LOVE shown to a son by a father! I know you can't wait for him to join you in Heaven. I can picture you taking him by the hand and showing and telling him everything you have been doing in Heaven. I know the first thing you will say to your dad is, "I LOVE YOU!" You have been blessed.

Elias, our nephew. You are so sweet, so gentle. When you would come to our house you loved to walk down to the dock with us. We could always tell how much you liked it by the way you wailed and got so excited. We will miss you darling. Deb told your dad that you said, in her minds eye, that you were so happy with him and said thanks for him being your dad. Tapping your head and the rub of dad's cheek with your other hand, a sign of, "I love you." Goodbye sweet one, thanks for the lessons you taught us.

I am sorry to hear of your passing. I would stop in once in awhile at where your dad works. He had you there one day along time ago. I would ask how you are your dads eyes would light up and a big smile on his face. He misses you. You do look like him. Val

Dear Greg,
I'm so sorry to hear of Elias passing! Although I didn't see him much I know how much he was loved. You gave him your entire life, love and devotion. I was always so impressed with how you cared for him! His life was enriched by a father who's only thoughts were for his son. It was an honor to see such a loving relationship! Everyone loved you so much Elias, especially Papa who spent every min of every day w/ you when he wasn't working, he misses you dearly. I know you lived a wonderful life w/ him & he is very blessed by that. I loved watching/hearing your deep giggle when Papa tickled you & your play bite game on his arm/hands. Your eyes would light up everytime you looked at him. He was your world & you were his. You now are living an everlasting life in heaven & able to run, talk & do all the things you weren't able to do here on earth. I know your spirit will live on; so much love & time invested the memories will last forever. We are comforted to know you are no longer having seizures or in any pain & the Lord is taking care of you, as he always has. We will see you again someday buddy. I love you & Dad loves you more than anyone could ever imagine. RIP Elias.
