I was so sorry to hear about Beth/Thez passing. I learned just recently that this occurred. I knew Thez through her significant other, Mike Olsen, who I worked with for many, many years.
The first time I met Thez was in Joannas fabric store. I had never seen her before, nor she me. But, when I bought a specific fabric for my mom's 90th birthday party, she said I know you. She had never seen me before either but she knew about the birthday party from Mike. Then it turned out that a former employee of my husband was her boss at the State of Arizona.
It is a blessing that she doesn't have to suffer with that painful knee now.

Beth was an outstanding Veteran that worked to get more female veterans involved with outreach and services available to them/us. She will be missed and remembered as a great veteran advocate.

Beth Nehring was a beloved member of the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society and served as the Chaplain for the Unified Arizona Veterans until she was too ill to attend. Beth came to the June Women Veteran's Day luncheon hosted by the VFW Auxiliary #1433 in Glendale and was clearly struggling. Beth helped me for years at StandDown, distributing lots of necessities to homeless women (new socks, underwear, hygiene) and even quilts that were made by her Reap What You Sew group, a ministry through her church. She loved making a difference, especially with women vets who were struggling.
