Ellen Madison Obituary
Born in Gretna, she is the daughter of the late William Hunter Burton and Fleetwood Thompson Burton. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Kevin Shane Ragland.
Ellen was a member of Mountain View Church of God and a retired Supervisor for Nationwide Insurance Co. After she retired, she became a nanny to several families but was more like a Mother/Grandmother to the children she cared for and loved.
She is survived by three children, Dana R. Campbell (Gary) of Lynchburg, Dean H. Ragland of Lynchburg and Garry D. Ragland (Libby) of Goode; two grandchildren, Kalan Campbell (Ashley) and Courtney Campbell; three great grandchildren, Remi Rosser, Tyler Summers and Colton Campbell and one brother, William Burton (Lillian) of Yanceyville, N.C.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
