I was in the class of 1960 at the Ferndale Highschool and I believe I lived a few blocks away from Eric in Pleasant Ridge. For some reason he was on my mind these past few days and I thought I should look him up and let him know how I appreciated how nice he was. I am sorry to find of his passing.
To all Eric's family and loved one, please know that Eric and his 'niceness" was very much appreciated.

Pleasure to have met the colorful wonderful man
Jennifer Wyatt
February 3, 2019
My name is Jennifer Wyatt. My husband Emsley and I have had the pleasure of seeing and talking to Eric at neighborhood events and parties for years. Eric always had a smile on his face and was always pleasant. I know that he has had a difficult time over the past years with his battle with cancer. Eric had the character of a brave survivor and a true winner. We are so sorry for your loss. Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you all. Jennifer Wyatt and Emsley Wyatt

I have known Eric for well over half a century. He was brilliant and multi-talented, obviously.
But, perhaps even more unique, I never saw a single mean bone in his body in all those years.
I first met Eric one spring day in 1965, when we both began our lifelong advertising careers via the Campbell-Ewald Advertising Agency intern program. We lost touch for nearly 20 years but, when I ended up moving to Sylvan Lake in 1983, I found that Eric, totally by coincidence, lived only a few houses away, on Ferndale.
That began a renewed friendship and professional association which resulted in Eric and I collaborating on dozens of ads, promotions and TV commercials over the years, culminating finally, in putting together the Annual Sylvan Lake Garden Club Home Tour book for several years.
I last saw Eric when he called and asked me to go for a ride in his spectacular, vintage Mercedes convertible (Eric always loved sharing his excitement with new projects and interests). I also shared his sadness in losing his long-time companion, Chelsea, and his happiness in adopting his new puppy.
I could write a book about Eric, but I will simply end with: Goodbye, My Friend.
