F. EDWARD, JR
Age 52, of Washington, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 15, 2003. He was born Dec. 2, 1950 in Pgh., PA; son of Margaret McCausland Saxer of Pgh and the late Floyd E. Saxer. Mr. Saxer was a 1969 graduate of North Hills High School., He attended Kent State University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He graduated from California University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He was employed by SOL-9 Development Company in Steubenville, OH as Sales Manager. Mr. Saxer was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, PA where he served as an Elder. He was a devoted husband and father, avid golfer, and a vintage car enthusiast. He was a member of the Porsche Club of America. On August 27, 1977, he married Hila J. Edwards from California, PA who survives; also surviving is a son, Ian McCausland Saxer at home; three sisters, Melanie Johnston of San Francisco, CA, Margery Adams of Annapolis, MD and Joan Mueller of Seattle, WA; two nieces, Meredith Johnston and Karin Casdorph; two nephews, Andrew Johnston and Eric Casdorph; sister and brother-in-law, Dan and Nancy (Edwards) Casdorph; and brother-in-law, John W. Edwards, III. Friends of F. Edward Saxer, Jr of Washington who died Sunday June 15, 2003 will be received from 7-9 pm, Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Wednesday in PIATT AND BARNHILL FUNERAL HOME, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, PA. Private Interment will be held at Washington Cemetery Thursday, June 19, 2003 with Rev. Robert J. Campbell officiating. A public memorial service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2003 at 7:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 100 East Wheeling Street, Washington, PA. Interpreting Services will be available at the Memorial Service for deaf mourners. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Music Endowment Fund, 100 East Wheeling Street, Washington, PA 15301
