Fannie Hillman Obituary
Her well-lived life is proven by the impact she had in the local real estate industry, but even more so the large circle of family, friends, and clients that will truly miss her. Ms. Hillman's love and passion for Winter Park and its community is seen in her successful efforts as a community leader and advocate.
Fannie's zest for life included regular trips to her beloved home in Maine, where she loved visiting with friends, supporting the local artists and boating. She enjoyed entertaining, collecting recipes, traveling, and especially spending time with friends and family. She was known for making friends quickly and enjoyed any excuse for a get together. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her loving family; children- son Scott Hillman his wife Debbie, son David Hillman his wife Leigh, daughter Mary Hillman Greer and her husband Russ; Grandchildren - Hannah Hillman Bobich and her husband Nick, Sam Hillman and his wife Emily, Annie Hillman, Claire Hillman, Luke Hillman, Emma Greer, Lucy Greer, George Greer, Mary Margaret Greer; Great Grandsons Henry & Scotty Hillman and Great Granddaughter Nora Bobich.
Not one for formalities, Fannie would ask that in lieu of flowers- have a laugh with friends, help a neighbor in need or donate time to a favorite charity, share a smile with a stranger, spend quality time with your family and tell them you love them often.

What a special lady. So kind, forthcoming, smart , ambitious yet above all caring. When I think of Fannie the same reaction always occurs, a smile. And that has remained for over 45 years!

Fannie was the consummate lady, a shrewd businesswoman and a lot of fun! She will be missed by many, but surely her legacy will live on in Scott and Mary and their families! Loved her too.

Scott, Mary and family. My move to Winter Park in 1986 and frequent visits after I left were always greeted by a Fannie Hillman real estate sign. What a great firm she created and one I know your family will carry on.

Fannie will be missed by her many Castine friends. We have such fond memories of being on her boat, enjoying many parties and always being warmed by her great personality and wonderful big smile. We send heartfelt sympathy to her family and to Yoly who was devoted to her care.

John & I have so many wonderful memories of Fannie and growing up in Norton. She was always so welcoming and always had that beautiful smile. John remembers how she and cousin Ann just to argue over which one of them was actually the oldest.

Thirty-eight years ago you encouraged me to "fear not" and get that Real Estate License (1983) that as a dingle mother (woman) the only way to thrive was not only to sell orarket homes but to buy "investmebts".
You lived an epic lufe, your legacy lives on in countless lives you touch, the wonderful family you left behind. I REMEMBER your encouragement & wisdom during a most vulnerable time. I was very sorry to read today of the passing of Ms. Fannie Hillman (though I was pleased to read such a lovely obituary). I have lived in Central Florida for 50 years and am 20 years younger than Ms. Hillman, but I can remember driving on Fairbanks Avenue and seeing the sign for her business, and being so impressed that a woman was the head of such a prestigious business. Although it "should not" have been such a rarity for that time, it was, and it was very inspiring to me. She was a dear friend to my cousin, Mrs. Winni Hartsock, and was hostess to my cousin's stay at her home in Maine, a visit that my cousin enjoyed tremendously and relayed to me several times. My condolences to the family, and please know that even I, an average Central Floridian who never met Fannie Hillman, knew of her and admired her.
