Asalamo-alaikum, Farzana. I think of you so often, dear. I saw you in my dream last night.

Amara's 1st birthday is coming up and it made me sad to think that it was only a few days after I received the blessing of a daughter, then we were devastated by losing you.
I pray for you and your family, especially your darling children. I feel very blessed to have known you and grow up here in Chicago with you. You are missed every day.

I cannot express the deep sadness I felt upon hearing of Farzana's sudden passing. I shall never forget her beaming, genuine smile, her warmth and her humility. When I saw her on Eid after so many years, she approached me with the biggest, most beautiful smile and introduced me to her adorable children. May God look over them and the loving family she leaves behind. May He protect her and give her a place in heaven. I know in my heart she is smiling still.

My sincerest condolences to all of Farzana's family.

The news of Farzana's sudden and untimely passing is terribly saddening. She was my dear classmate and loyal friend for years after I moved away to attend high school and college. Among Farzana's admirable qualities was her humble nature. She was very modest about any and all accomplishments. I can still picture the place in the classroom where she sat with an air of innocence. It is hard to imagine her gone, her age forever frozen at forty. Her death has been painful to accept. I am deeply touched, but not surprised, by the impact she had on so many people. May God comfort Farzana's family, especially her little ones. She is now with her mother and the angels in heaven. Her soul was and always will be beautiful.

I get so sad when I think about you! I often hear your voice in my ears. I miss you terribly. You were an older sister to me! I will do my best to watch over Zayna, Rahim and Moatsim! Death ends a life, not a relationship! I remember all the good times we had! You treated us so well when we visited Chicago in 2007. It was one of my best vacations, thanks to you and Moatsim. I feel like it was yesterday when we had our hour long conversation as I was on my walk. We talked about so many different things. I love you, Farzana! You always be in my heart!

It is unimaginable that you are gone, and I don't know how we will be able to recover from this. You were like a sister to me, and I loved you so much. I miss you so much and hope and pray that we will all be able to carry this heavy burden that is now on our hearts. We are praying for you always and will always remember your smile, kind words, and wonderful personality.

The world, indeed, is like a dream and the treasures of the world are an alluring mirage. Like the apparent distances in a picture, things have no reality in themselves, but they are like heat haze. My beloved Farzana, your love was endless and indeed will be remembered. May you be rewarded for your thoughtfulness and generousity. Although your time here was limited, you will live to eternity in the heavens. May Allah grant you paradise. Ameen. We will surely meet again.
I love you.
