Flora Jane Callahan GLADE SPRING, Va. Mrs. Flora Jane Callahan, age 71, of Sycamore St., passed away on Tuesday morning, Dec. 22, 2009, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Glade Spring,ca daughter of the late John Bruce McCormick and Virginia Katherine Stevenson. Mrs. Callahan was the widow of the late Joseph Wesley Callahan. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by four sons, Joey Callahan, Jimmy Callahan and Mark Callahan and wife, Pam all of Glade Spring, and Eddie Callahan of Meadowview, Va.; one daughter, Mary Hamilton and husband, Gene of Glade Spring; three grandchildren, Jennifer Renee Hamilton of the U.S. Navy serving in Calif., Jonathan Taylor Callahan and Wesley Widener; and special friends and doctors, Dr. Douglas Pote and Dr. Henry and the staff of Glade Community Clinic. She also leaves behind a host of neighbors that she loved dearly and cared for. Funeral services for Mrs. Callahan will be conducted at 8 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kenneth Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday evening prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to P.O. Box 948, Abingdon, VA 24212 in memory of Mrs. Callahan.
