Florence Aldridge Obituary

Florence E. Aldridge, 87, formerly of North Braddock, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, in Golden Heights Personal Care Home, Penn Township. She was born Dec. 1, 1919, in North Braddock, a daughter of the late Charles Goff Jenkins and Anna Dittman Jenkins. She was a member of the Muhleman Memorial United Methodist Church in North Braddock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Aldridge, in 1968; a son-in-law, John A. Luffe Sr.; a brother, Charles Jenkins; and three sisters, Dorothy, Ruth and Mildred Jean Jenkins. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. Luffe, of Harrison City; three grandchildren, John A. Luffe Jr., Heidi A. Luffe and April L. Luffe (and special friend, Charles Celesnik); adopted granddaughter, Theresa Morrissey; a great-grandson, Robert "R.J." Luffe; and a sister, Pearl Gonella and husband, John, of Chalfont Borough. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Muhleman Memorial United Methodist Church, Grandview Avenue, North Braddock, with the Rev. Deborah Kocibin officiating. Everyone go directly to the church. Interment will be private. The JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, is in charge of arrangements.
