Florence Marchetto Obituary

87 years of age and resident of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024. Florence was a graduate of Whitehall High School. She then held jobs with PPL, and as a secretary with the former Daveland Co. (Vistacom Inc.) for many years before moving to the Allentown Health Bureau as clerk from where she retired. She and her husband Woody were married for 64 years and enjoyed their time together gardening and traveling. She especially enjoyed her time at casinos in Atlantic City and all throughout the Country, and was an avid slots player.

She is survived by her husband Elwood "Woody" Marchetto; son John with his wife Karen, two grandchildren; Cortney Marchetto with husband Brent Murach, and Anthony Marchetto with wife Anne; one great grandchild Maira; sister Judith Chajnacki and brother Frank.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Msgr. David L. James on Wednesday December 18, 2024 at 10:30 am in Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church 3024 South Ruch Street, Whitehall, PA 18052, where her family will receive guests beginning at 9:30 am.

Inurnment will follow in the Columbaria

of Saint Peter Catholic Cemetery in Whitehall.
