Florence Young Obituary
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Chapel with The Rev. Sarah Carver officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
Florence was born in Cook County, IL to the late Alexander Berry and Florence Hobbs Greenleaf.
Mrs. Young had a career in arts management for many years. She worked for Columbia Artists NYC; the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. She was a volunteer with Greensboro Community Arts and the Weatherspoon Art Gallery. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Young is survived by her children; Jeanne Young Zimmer and husband Jack of Luray, VA, Philip Berry Young and wife Vicki of Greensboro, James Bridgeford Young and wife Gail of Greenville, SC, and Elizabeth Young Bradbury and husband Ed from Watsonville, CA; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Prayers in the Park or to the Richard Cox Music Fund both at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 617 North Greene Street Greensboro, NC 27401 in memory of Florence G. Young.
