Florine Jackson Jones

WATERS BLUFF - Services for Florine Jackson Jones, 82, Dallas, formerly of Waters Bluff community, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Waters Bluff CME Church with Elder Rickey Johnson and the Rev. Earnest Stinson officiating. Burial will be in Waters Bluff Cemetery under direction of Brooks-Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler. Mrs. Jones died Aug. 25, 2006, in Dallas. She was born March 15, 1924, in Tyler to the late Obie Jackson and Lena Mae Wigenton. She lived most of her life in Smith County and attended Waters Bluff schools. She was a homemaker and member of Waters Bluff CME Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Dale Jones. Survivors include sons, Jesse M. Jones and Dessie Jones, both of Winona, and Walter D. Harris, Fort Worth; daughters, Eva Graves, Dallas, and Linda Bircher, Tyler; brother, Samuel Jackson, Dallas; sister, Lessie B. Warren, Tyler; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Anthony Mathis, Lavarn Menefee, Kenneth Bircher, Odell Bircher Jr., Anthony Bircher Sr., Braelon Menefee, Timondrick Richard, Dalton Mathis, Anthony Porchia Jr. and Timothy Richard. Honorary pallbearers are the Rev. Timothy Bircher, Mathew Bircher, Zachary Bircher, Kameron Bircher, Timothy Bircher Jr., Anthony Bircher Jr., Juan Whitmore, Timothy Richard, LaAnthony Daniels, stewards and trustees of Waters Bluff CME Church, Jordan Bircher, Noah Bircher, Diondrick Bircher, Kedron Walker and Joshua Bircher.
