My uncle Poppy was a hell of a man the true definition of a husband, father, son and uncle he worked and took care of his family and also taking care of his sickly mother. He always made sure his mother was taken care and any needs that she made have had. A long with making sure he provided for his family spending time with his nieces and nephews as well. A great man indeed love you uncle Poppy you will never be forgotten.

I have fond memories of Floyd always kind and smiling at the foundry, but most of all I remember him and Sam down on the river fishing when we would come up to the dam in our airboat. There are fewer and fewer of us left who remember those years. We are certainly left with less since Floyd has gone. My prayers to Daisy and family. One day, we will all have another one of those "Hitchcock Picnics" together at last.

My condolences to Daisy and the family of Floyd "Poppy" Griffin on his transition. I have such fond memories of the family. Daisy and my late mother "Dolly" were the best of friends when I was growing up. He was such a gentleman and they were such a loving couple.
My most fondest memory of "Poppy" was when he won a Mustang car (not sure of what year it was), but I couldn't help but think how lucky he was to win the car the most popular car of the day back then.
He will surely be missed.
