Francesco Tropeano Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 31, 2024.
Francesco Salvatore Tropeano, aged 80, passed away on October 30, 2024, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born on January 1, 1944 in Calabria, Italy. Francesco was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, cherished for his generosity and readiness to assist others in their time of need.

Francesco served honorably in the US Army from 1963 to 1968, an experience that shaped much of his early adult life. After his military service, he married the love of his life Margaret Kerr Tropeano of Dumbarton, Scotland. Frank and Margaret will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in June 2025. In 1974, Frank and Margaret moved from Glen Cove, NY to South FL where he established Wellington Granite and Marble, a business that thrived under his leadership for over 40 years. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his craft left a lasting impact on the community.

Above all, Francesco valued time spent with his family, a simple yet profound pleasure that brought him immense joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife Margaret and children, Francis, Dean, Sandra, Michelle, Rosina, and Angela, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss his presence deeply. Francesco was preceded in death by his parents, Raphael and Rosina Tropeano (Tedesco).

In lieu of services, those wishing to honor Francesco's memory can make contributions to St. Ann Place at http://www.stannplaceoc.org/. His legacy of kindness and dedication to family will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

I remember his callming and peaceful presence during a most hurried time of dismissals at school. Picking up his 3 Lefco grands always with pleasure. His quiet demeanor was always so reassuring to my hurried mind. I am honored with the friendships he has helped create. God care for those missing him and may his soul forever rest in loving Peace. Big love from your Miller friends.
