Fred Louis Kruzich was born September 24, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa to Fred and Josephine Kruzich. He passed away October 14, 2015 with family present.

Fred worked for the US Postal Service and retired in 1996. He also served in the US Army, both active and in the Reserve.

He was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and also attended St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1110 35th Street, Des Moines. Private burial will military honors will take place at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jeanette; daughter, Kathryne (Mark) Alessi of Green Forest, AR; son, Nicholas of Altoona, IA; granddaughter, Nadja Spirk of Fayetteville, AR; brother, David (Nora) Kruzich of Ankeny, IA; sister, Diane (Ron) Bryan of Runnells, IA; as well as many nephews and nieces.
