BALTIMORE — Gary C. Hoy, 72, of 401 Keswick Road, Baltimore, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, while a patient at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore.
Gary was born in Shamokin, June 2, 1944, a son of John A. and Beatrice John Hoy. He was the youngest child in a family of 13.
He graduated from Shamokin High School in 1962.
He was employed by the Housing Authority of the City of Baltimore.
He loved to travel and visited several foreign countries and many historic places in the states.
Gary is survived by his longtime companion, James Andrew; four sisters, Patricia Engle, Barbara Kessler, Corrine Thomas, all of Shamokin, and Hope Shepard, of Williamston, Michigan; a sister-in-law Dorothy Hoy, of Westarville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Baltimore.
