Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 10, 2025.
Genevieve Margaret "Gen" (Miller) Rucker, 98 of Peoria, AZ, formerly of Rochester, MN passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Gen was born in Rochester, MN July 22, 1926, to William and Margaret Miller. When she was younger her parents moved her and her two older sisters to California. After her high school graduation, she moved back to Minnesota. She married the love of her life, Ralph Rucker, January 10, 1946, in Plainview, MN. Together they had eight amazing children.

Gen was full of love, happiness and very witty. She worked at Gold Bond Stamp for many years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, and she sang in the choir for many years . Gen loved playing cards which she passed that down to her children and grandchildren. Her favorite card games were 13 Skidoo and Skip-Bo. She also loved playing bingo and pool. Gen enjoyed making a variety of crafts and jewelry. Ralph and Gen used to return to Minnesota for a family Christmas in July, where she gifted her crafts to her children and grandchildren. She loved watching Press Your Luck and The Price is Right and rarely missed an episode. If there was one food Gen couldn't get enough of, it was ice cream. She absolutely loved it!

Upon Ralph's retirement, they moved to Apache Junction, Arizona, where they enjoyed the warm weather and lack of snow.

Gen is survived by 4 children, Roger (Marilyn), Jacquelyn (Douglas) Swift, Duane (Patty), and Constance (Robert) Moulthrop; 24 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Wendie Rucker; and son-in-law Bill McBurney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; Children, Linda McBurney, Rosemary Pagenhart, Bruce, Catherine Schulz; 3 sons-in-law John Pagenhart, Dale Schulz, Layne Vale; 2 sisters, Marian Parkin and Betty Vincek; and her parents.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester.
