GRASSO - George "Duke"
Of Tonawanda, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on Monday, December 21st 2020. He was a loving brother and uncle. George is predeceased by his parents George C. and Lucy (Saviola) Grasso, and brother Kenneth Grasso. He will be sadly missed by his sister Lucy (Charles) DeLavalle, sister-in-law Patty Grasso, niece Lori (David) Mancuso, and nephews Daniel (Carly) Grasso, Christopher (Jessica) Grasso, Joseph (Virginia) Grasso, Paul (Paula) DiCanio, and Christopher (Charlotte) DeLavalle. He also was a loving great-uncle to 12 great-nieces and nephews. George is a proud veteran of the Vietnam War serving honorably in the U.S. Army in the 4th Cavalry Regiment, 25th infantry Division. He received the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. George was a generous, kind, and caring man who loved his family more than anything. Baseball was his passion, he loved watching the Yankees and going to Bisons games. Uncle Duke could always make you laugh, never forgot a birthday, and enjoyed taking everyone out to fish fry weekly. He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed. Rest easy, Uncle Duke. No prior visitation. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veteran's One-stop Center of Western New York. (https://www.vocwny.org/). Arrangements by LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel).
