George Kapetanis

Kapetanis, George Age 93, of Edina. Born 28 March 1917 in Springfield, MA. Passed away on 16 Jan 2011. After distinguished service in WWII, he graduated from Northeastern Univ. in Boston and went on to hold a 40-yr. honorary membership in the Amer. Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Beloved husband, gracious gentleman and friend, he continued to serve others after retirement as a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer, treasurer of Minnesota Artists Association, and active member of Kiwannis Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; sisters, Arianthe Kantos, Mary Heos, Betty Cordi; brother, Stratis. He is survived by his son, Geoffrey; many nieces and nephews in Minnesota and Massachusetts. Special thanks to his caregivers at Walker Elder Suites, Fairview Hospice and Fairview Southdale Hospital.
