George Malone Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 28, 2024.
George Frederick Malone Jr., affectionately known as "Buzz Malone," was born on August 18, 1941, in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. After a short illness, he passed away on December 24, 2024, in Englewood, New Jersey.

Buzz was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy Eloise Dent and George Frederick Malone Sr. He is survived by his wife, Sally A. Malone; his son, Daniel Patrick Malone Sr., (Sabrina) and his grandchildren: Daniel Malone Jr., Christiana Malone, Angelica Malone, Nicholas Malone, Joshua Malone, and Gracia Malone. He also leaves behind his sisters, Lucretia Dickinson (William) and Claire Huttemeyer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Buzz spent his career as a dedicated union pipefitter before retiring. Outside of work, he pursued his passion for classic cars and racing-both on four wheels and two. His enthusiasm for car and motorcycle racing was a defining part of his life and brought him great joy over the years.

In accordance with Buzz's wishes, services will be private. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Kind to Kids Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting children in foster care as well as victims of child abuse and neglect. Contributions can be made at https://kindtokids.org.

May his memory bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
