GEORGE W. "HIPPER"
Age 89, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. Beloved husband of 65 years of Marvis (Simpson) McCoy; loving father of Mark (the late Elise) McCoy, Tim McCoy and Paul (Sonia) McCoy; cherished popa of Ashley, Connor, Aaron and Sophia; loving great-popa of Jayden and Ella; brother of the late John, Virginia and Frank; loving uncle of John and Janet Yates. George was a valued employee of Bell Telephone for 42 years, served in the US Army in Korea and was a member of the Korean War Veterans of Western Pennsylvania. Family and friends welcome Tuesday 2-8 p.m. WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, (412-563-2800), 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 15220 where a funeral service will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to Marvis and the rest of the McCoy family on their loss. I've known George since I was a child at Good Shepherd. He was truly a fine man in every sense of the word. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
