George "Pat" Patrick Robinson

George Patrick Robinson, lovingly known as "Pat," passed away peacefully at his home in Carnesville, Georgia, on August 12, 2025.

Born on February 26, 1935, in the Atlanta, Georgia area, Pat graduated from Bob Jones University, where he met and married Carol Chiles. He later attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where two of his children, Steve and Linda, were born.

Following seminary, Pat began his pastoral ministry in Rockford, Illinois, as pastor of Eastview Baptist Church, where his youngest child, John, was born. After nine years in Rockford, he went on to serve at Hillsborough Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida, before moving with his family to Mississippi, where they lived for many years.

A man of many talents, Pat found joy in both hard work and simple pleasures. He loved fishing, gardening, golfing, tennis, tending blueberries, planting flowers, and growing tomatoes and jalapeño peppers-often trading his harvest for Mexican dinners. He enjoyed collecting antiques, boating with his family each summer on Sims Lake in Wisconsin, and making cherished memories at Earl Bitzer's cabin. Determined and resourceful, Pat could accomplish nearly anything he set his mind to.

Gifted with a beautiful tenor voice, Pat sang to glorify God, often harmonizing with his family in church to songs like Heaven Came Down. For many years, "Brother Pat," as he was affectionately known, touched countless lives through his preaching and singing, leading many to Christ with his faith and testimony.

Pat held a deep love for his parents' home and land, where his family shared more than 20 years of fishing, hunting, and gathering together until his parents' passing in 1983. He made their home his own, cherishing it until his passing.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lois Robinson, and his sister, Peggy Ward. He is survived by, his children Stephen "Steve" (Kay) Robinson, Linda (Charlie) Bryan, and John (Katie) Robinson, and his wife, Andrea Robinson.

Though he has left this world, Pat's legacy of faith, love, and song lives on. We take comfort in knowing that many were waiting at Heaven's gate to welcome him home.
