Dear family of your beloved one, George Poitras.
I was saddened to hear of your loss just a day ago. I have the greatest respect for this man who tried so hard to bring improvements to our Peepeekisis community. He had a vision that we as young people could make changes for the betterment of the people. He was one of the most respected chiefs of our time.
God bless.

From my family, I offer heartfelt condolences to the Poitras family.
George and his vision for better lives for First Nations people will be missed. His technical knowledge and enthusiasm were incredible. An as engineer, I was always impressed with his depth of knowledge and thoroughly enjoyed our many discussion about ethanol and many other issues.
