METHUEN — Mrs. Geraldine Anne (Gagnon) Miele, 68, beloved wife of 47 years to Dennis Miele, died Sunday morning, Jan. 24, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Haverhill, she was the daughter of Natalie (Emerson) Gagnon of Plaistow, N.H. and the late Phillip Gagnon. She received her education in the Haverhill school system and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1959 majoring in the culinary arts program.
A resident of the City of Methuen for the past 47 years, Mrs. Miele dedicated her life to her husband and family. She had a passion for cooking and baking and she also enjoyed knitting. She was a parishioner of St. Lucy's Church in Methuen. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her children, Sherry Marsden, Sharon Nimmo and her husband Jeffrey, Benjamin Miele and his wife Bonnie and Shellene Florio and her husband Salvatore; five grandchildren, Vanessa Marsden, Courtney Nimmo, Salvatore Florio Jr., Anthony Florio and Briana Miele; nine siblings, Phillip Gagnon Jr. and his wife Sharon, Maralla Blake and her husband Raymond, Cynthia DeRoche and her husband Daniel, Twila Gagnon, Rachel Lanseigne and her husband Armand, Eleanor Clarke and her husband Kenneth, Izora Valihura and her husband Paul, William Gagnon and his wife Constance and Jeremiah Gagnon and his wife Mary; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Lucy's Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Her burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
