Sally, Bob, Jean and families. So sad to hear of your Mom's passing. I first met Gina when my Dad, Les Kerrison, bought a golden quarter horse for me called Little Stranger. Our family would see Gina occasionally and it was always such a pleasure. She was such a kind and gentle person. I too, have one of her bronze works, "We are trouble". I treasure this piece. Gina was always willing to share her knowledge with people and as a young rider is was always appreciated. It was a honor to have known her. She will be missed

Our sincere sympathies to all the family. Gina was a special person to me. When I was about 2, Gina and her Mum brought over my first horse, (Napoleon). They were at the Bar C at the time. I can remember it like yesterday.
At 11 Gina gave me an old pair of cowboy boots, the first pair I had. There are a lot of fond memories I could go on about, but one day about 12 years ago, she asked who I had lined up to illustrate the poems in my Cowboy Poetry Book, The Corral Bars Are Down, that I had been working on. I said "no one". She said, "If you thought I was good enough (always modest) I'd like to do it". It was my dream to have her do it, as unlike many, I knew what a wonderful sketch artist she was and I knew she knew, or could relate to many of the poems. We had a lot of fun on the poems. I would take her up 2 or 3 at a time until we got all 65 finished, as well as the cover. I think she was as proud of the book as I was when we got finished.
Walter and I will miss her true Western hospitality, cookie jar, and the authenticity of her Western lifestyle. She was an excellent horsewoman and superb artist. We will greatly miss her.

I will miss you oh so much, my heart is missing a huge piece. Thank you Auntie Gina for everything, your teaching me everything you knew about horses and art, for being there to kick my butt when I did wrong and standing beside me when I did right. You will be greatly missed!

So many times when faced with a problem, I've found myself asking, 'Now, how would Gina Cohoe have handled this?' I feel so privileged to have known her and had her example before me.

Our family was always welcome in her home and we always enjoyed our visits with her talking about horses. She always enjoyed seeing our kids and made them feel welcome. We were lucky to have had her in our lives with her friendship.

A beloved friend who shall be deeply missed. I have two of Gina's horses and treasure them every day in knowing how special and what a big part of her life horses were. How blessed I am to have been her friend and a special friend she has been to me. She made the best chocolate chip cookies and I'm so glad she gave me her recipe. God bless you my dear Gina. You'll always have a place in my heart. Sonja

Gina will always have a place in my heart, she was one of the kindest and warmest ladies I have ever known. My memory is the day she shared her craft with me, over coffee. She was so gifted.

So saddened to hear of the passing of such a lovely and talented lady. I feel privileged to have spent a little time with Gina in her studio. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Jean, as you remember the wonderful times you and your Mom had together and you celebrate a life well lived.
