Ginger Elrod Obituary
Ginger leaves behind her 11-year-old daughter, Piper Elrod; mother, Dawn Shugart; father, Tim Elrod; sister, Melanie Elrod; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces. She will be missed by many, many friends and family members who knew and loved her.
Ginger valued continuous education and learning throughout her life. She graduated with honors from TK Gorman. She first began college at age 11 in the SMU and SWTS summer learning programs. There she excelled in many fields and developed numerous friendships.
Ginger was a college graduate and later became a supervisor with the state.
She and her daughter Piper were involved in the Girl Scouts and enjoyed various mother-daughter activities within the organization.
Ginger truly cared for everyone she met and everyone loved her in return. She can best be described as caring, beautiful and brilliant. The world is a better place because she was here; we will all miss her greatly.
