In Loving Memory: Gordon Charles Murch

It is with sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Murch on February 21st, 2024. With family at his bedside, Gordon passed in comfort and peace at Tidewell Hospice House in Venice Florida.

Born July 4th, 1965, Gordon was raised in Massachusetts, much of his adult life was spent in the Ossipee, NH area where he worked as a general contractor. In recent years, Gordon made his life in Miami, FL and then the Fort Meyers area.

With a big heart and many longtime friends, Gordon ("Gordo") will be remembered for his laughter, loyalty, and willingness to help, he enjoyed the outdoors, and company of good friends.

Gordon is survived by his mother, Mary F. (Pelrine) Murch of Bradford, MA, father, Robert A. Murch and his wife Ellen Murch of North Port FL, sister Robin Raymond and her husband Richard Raymond of Tyngsboro, MA, sister Sharon Murch of Bradford, MA, son Robert Read of Louisiana, son Kyle Read of Maine, daughter Amber Murch and granddaughter Alliana Violet Rose of New Hampshire as well as his longtime love Stacey Perry. He will also be remembered by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins, especially his cousin "Jim" Pelrine, not only a cousin, a great friend.

With Gordon's earth journey ended, we will mourn his loss and take solace in the knowledge that he is now at eternal peace, free from pain and suffering. May his spirit live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Gordon's life will be held at a later date, welcoming all friends and family wishing to attend. We want to thank the caring staff at Tidewell/Venice Hospice House, 210 Wexford Blvd., Venice, FL, 34293, to which donations may be made in Gordon's name, or any charitable organization of choice.

Where do I begin; I was Gordon´s bartender turned friend in NH.
I couldn´t get him to stop talking politics. He loved his politics. He was so knowledgeable. Always so so funny. Rest in peace my friend. I will miss you so much! Love Toni

I can still remember growing up with you, Robin, and Sharon. When Joann and I were at your house on Carter St., I was fascinated and a little scared of the posters in your bedroom: the band KISS and one particular Queen album cover. You were a genuine fan of hard rock. May you rest in peace. Love, your cousin Andrea.

"Give her the dinnah!"...Gordo!... as you always liked to say. We had a short but fun run... in Miami... hanging out...going to the motley Crue concert... talking about your favorite guitarist from KISS... Ace Frehley... and battling the golf demons as well... You were one of a kind... But a New England classic at the same time... You will be missed. Rock on buddy!...Not fer Nuttin!

Oh, Gordon, you Sweet guy! My first memory is attending your baptism, where my mother, Julie (Pelrine) Elmore, and father, Peter Elmore, stood as your godparents! I was 10. I remember you as a life-loving, fun-loving person.

Always a smile and a joke to make you laugh. Positive, energetic, and fun. We all will miss our time with you.
