Guy Wayne Sickler

Guy Wayne Sickler (67 yrs old) of Aurora, Illinois passed away on April 26, 2024 while surrounded by loved ones. Guy was born in Aurora, Illinois on April 20, 1957 to Ralph and Sonja (Hawkins) Sickler and was the oldest of 5 children. He graduated from East Aurora High School in 1975 and married the mother of his 3 children the following year. Guy worked at All-Steel until their closure and then made his way to Caterpillar, Inc where he eventually retired. He was an avid sportsman throughout his lifetime enjoying and excelling in a variety of sports. He was a cross country runner in high school, a bowler, a golfer and played fast-pitch softball. He enjoyed watching sports, as well, especially when it came to his beloved Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Rams. When he wasn't playing or watching sports he liked to visit the casino, race track, and social clubs. He was a devoted member of many local clubs including The Moose Lodge and Tiger Club where he enjoyed participating in club functions and was even known to belt out a tune or two on karaoke nights. Guy loved spending time with his family and would always make an effort to visit his parents, siblings, children and grandchildren regardless of what part of the country they lived. Guy was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Sickler, his father, Ralph Sickler and his step-mother Sara Sickler. He is survived by his children Michael (Celeste) Sickler, Chad (Leslie) Sickler and Michele Sickler, his grandchildren Trevor Bright, Devin (Morgan) Bright, Gavin Sickler, Cali Sickler, Kenneth Byndom Jr, Kallen Byndom, Kalel Byndom, Ke'mari Sickler, and Ma'Kenzie Moore, great-grandchild Eloise Bright, his mother Sonja Sickler, brothers Ralph (Blake) Sickler and Ron (Dawn) Sickler, and sister Megan (Chris) Sourlis.
