Harold Edward Brock, Sr., age 77, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Saturday – February 2, 2013 at his home. He was born in Chickamauga on October 24, 1935 to the late Luetta & Roy Brock. He was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga, Georgia. He was a 1954 graduate of his beloved Gordon Lee High School. His 56 years in the trucking industry, included 28 years at Lee-Smith of Chattanooga and retiring from his own business in 2011. Harold was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and the Good News Sunday School Class. He was a member of The American Legion Post 0217 and The Sons of Confederate Veterans. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra; their children: Holly & Jim Cahill of Dadeville, AL, Tody & Rebecca Brock of Ringgold, GA, Tracy & Atmar Thompson of Chattanooga, TN, brothers: Bo (Shirley) Brock of Chickamauga, GA, Lynn (Sue) Brock of Chickamauga, GA, grandchildren: Emma Cahill, Savannah (Michael) Buchanan, Brendan Cahill, Dusty (Candice) Brock, Raven (Dustin) Tommey, Rob Nolen, Caitlin (Chase) Beavers, Rachel Brock, Reagan Nolen, Riley (Will) Whaley, Laura Thompson, great-grandchildren: Ethan, Miles and Caroline Brock, Brantly Beavers, Hudson Whaley, neice: Elaine (Jim) Boulton, nephew: Rich (Kathy) Brock. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm Sunday and an hour prior to the service on Monday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am – Monday – February 4, 20013 in the chapel with Reverend Rich Brock, Dr. Lee Griggs and Dr. Warren Moorehead officiating. Burial will follow at Chickamauga Cemetery. Dusty Brock, Rob Nolen, Brendan Cahill, Dustin Tommey, Will Whaley, Brock Boulton and Luke Brock will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Gordon Lee Athletic Department at 105 Lee Circle – Chickamauga, GA 30707.
