"Smokey"

Harold E. Jerin, 75, of Randolph, went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2003.

Harold was a proud veter an of the U.S. Navy. He re tired from Ex change Printing after 44 years of service. He was a past Ohio state president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles from 1994 to 1995, and belonged to the F.O.E. 555 and the Bedford F.O.E. 2122. He was also a member of the Englebeck Masonic Lodge 751, American Legion 449, and the Allenside Athletic Club.

He was preceded in death by parents, Alex Sr. and Elsie Jerin, and brothers, Alex Jr., Kenneth, and Gerald Jerin. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 27 years, Elsie; daughters, Nada (Bruce) Wilson, Dona (Chuck) King, Debbie (Bob) Anglin, and Joni Smith; sons, Larry (Kay) Jerin, Guy (Bobbie) Smith, and Tim (Theresa) Smith; sister, Ruth (John) Mazan; sister-in- law, Arlene Jerin; ex-wife, Dorothy Jerin; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, May 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Scott Campbell officiating. In terment at East Liberty Cemetery. F.O.E. services Thursday at 7 p.m. Military honors provided by Ameri can Legion Post 449. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 182039, Department 013, Columbus, Ohio 43218-2039.
