Henry Provine Obituary

Henry "Hank" C. Provine, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on November 14, 2024, after a battle with liver cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of adventure, and resilience that will be cherished by all who knew him. Hank is survived by his children, Todd Provine and Andrea Provine Dyess. His grandchildren, Christopher Provine, Max Provine, Valen Provine, Alexandria Dyess, Sara Lynam, and Jack Dyess, Hank's siblings, Linda Vargas, Debbie Provine, and David Provine, mourn the loss of their brother, while also celebrating the many memories they created together. He is preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Koren. Hank was the epitome of an outdoorsman, a title he wore with pride and passion. His love for nature was evident in his many pursuits, including camping, hiking, mountain biking, water skiing, and fishing. These activities were not just hobbies for Hank; they were a way of life. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, often accompanied by his loyal dog, Gabi, who was more than just a pet but a true companion on his many adventures. Hank's enthusiasm for life and the natural world was infectious. His friends and family will fondly remember the camaraderie, and the occasional tall tale around the campfire. In honoring Hank's memory, his family invites those who knew him to share their stories and memories, ensuring that his legacy of love and adventure continues to inspire future generations. Though he is no longer with us, Hank's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Well Dad it's a new year 2025, and it will be sad that your not going into with me. I think of you all the time I miss you very much. I wanted to call you so bad on Christmas Day and tell you that Jack got a new electric bike for Christmas. And that we wanted to come and go on trail rides with you. I hope that you are in peace and full of energy up there. I will continue your legacy and share your stories about growing up and all the fun things we did. I hope that you are proud of me, because I am proud to be your daughter.

To the family of Hank, I am so sorry for your loss. Hank meant a great deal to our family. My son is the grandson of Ildiko, and had the privilege of creating many memories with Hank. He taught Jayden how to fish, took him on bike rides, and came to his basketball and baseball games. He was a wonderful person who we will miss so much.

I met Hank in 1974. He was selling bread and I was flipping burgers. 3 years later Hank came to work for me. He became my key employee. We shared many good times together and he became a good friend. I will miss him. RIP Hank.
