Herman Beach Obituary

PAMPLICO — Funeral service for Mr. Herman Beach will be 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Pee Dee Baptist Church in Pamplico. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery Andrews directed by Moses Funeral Home of Pamplico.

Mr. Beach died Thursday, Aug. 5, at his residence after an illness. He was born in Georgetown County, the son of the late Sammie and Maebell Trapi Beach. He attended the public schools in Georgetown and Florence Counties.

After moving north to Bronx, N.Y., he was a truck driver, taxi cab driver and musician with a band the Soul Cormpters. He relocated back to the South Carolina. Herman was employed at Delta Mills, Pamplico. He attended St. Paul A.M.E. Church where he was the musician and worked with different groups in other churches.

Survivors are two daughters, Kisha (Tyne) Penn of Charleston, Jazman Beach of Columbia; two sisters, Alberta Davis of Manhattan, N.Y., Barbara B. Brown of Andrews; and three brothers, Robert Beach, Sammie Beach and John (Gwen) Beach, all of Pamplico.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
