Ilmar Erdman

ERDMAN, Ilmar Ernst 1927 - 2009 Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Survived by his wife Lorna and his four sons John (Karen), Eric (Rosy), Neil and Mark (Kristine) and by his grandchildren Adam (Jen), Leslie (Mike), Simon, Jacob and Luke. Fondly remembered by his brother Karl (Dorothy) and by his sister Evelyn (the late Dave Rimmer). University of Alberta Alumnus, he had a long and distinguished career with Health and Welfare Canada developing international food hygiene standards, he also received several international awards. Special thanks to his niece Ann and to the staff at Medex Extendicare. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 2 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
