J. Donovan Obituary
Judge Donovan is predeceased by his parents Albert and Helen Donovan of Framingham. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Joan (Monte) Donovan of East Dennis, his daughter Kerry Dalton and her husband Terence of North Andover; his daughter Julie Lagesen and her husband J. Riley Lagesen of Portland, OR; his son John Donovan and his wife Susan of Pasadena, CA. In addition, he leaves his cherished grandchildren: Alyssa, Molly, and Jack Dalton, Alexa, Landon and Katherine Lagesen and Mia and Liam Donovan. He also leaves two sisters; Ann Bisenius of Centerville and Margaret Kelley of Framingham as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 4-6:30 PM at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Road, Brewster, MA followed by a committal service at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Rt. 134, South Dennis.

Mrs. Donovan, Kerry, Julie, and Johnny,
I was so sad to hear about your husband and dad. He was always the kindest man with a true heart! I remember younger days at the Travis Dr home, always welcomed with a great, warm smile, and lots of laughter. Mr. Donovan will be greatly missed. What a classic, a great man from the greatest generation, what examples they set! We are all extremely lucky to have crossed his path in some way. I enjoyed our conversations and brief times together. He will be truly missed but we can all cherish the memories and the fun times. His influence on us all will last forever.

Crista and I can't begin to tell you how sorry we are. Your dad (husband) was always a pleasure to talk to. I'll never forget his first words to me when Terence introduced me to him at your rehearsal dinner, "Ooh. That's a bad tie." I knew I like him right away. Lots of love and prayers coming from the Batemans.
