Maryville - James F. Farr, 73, Maryville, TN, passed away June 16, 2025. James was born March 7, 1952, in Maryville TN. In 1970, he graduated from Everett HS and immediately enlisted in the Air Force. He graduated from Troy University in 1980, and in 1981 was Commissioned following USAF Officer Training School. He served as a Special Agent, with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations until he retired from the Air Force after serving 21 years. He then served as a Special Agent with the Office of the Inspector General, Tennessee Valley Authority, for 24 years retiring in 2016. James was preceded in death by his parents: Earnest and Dessie (Headrick) Farr, grandparents: James and Rebecca (Harville) Headrick and Arthur and Janie (Whitehead) Farr. He is survived by his wife Reiko, sons Ben and Chelsea (Wright) and Taylor Farr, and grandchildren Elliot, Axel, Eden, Ivy, Audie, and Elodie Farr, brothers Leroy and Sam (Lee) and Frank Farr and sister Rebecca Wilson. James accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a young boy. He is now with his Heavenly Father. Funeral will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 20, at Smith Trinity Chapel with receiving of friends from 5:00-7:00 PM. Graveside service will be at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville, TN. Condolence may be shared at www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com. Smith Funeral and Cremation Service is helping the family at this time.
