To the Kennedy family -- I was a friend of Jim's at Drake University. Jimmy could light up a room. He had charisma and a great sense of humor. I was sad to hear of his passing, but he left behind a great legacy.

Dear Cindy and family,
You may not remember me, but I was involved with Northbrook Baseball around the time Matt and my son Ryan played. Jim was an outstanding guy with a great sense of humor and baseball acumen. I always said if I had to lose a game I would be much happier to lose to your team. We have lost a great sport and a great contributor to Northbrook Baseball. Our most sincere sympathy for your loss.

For Cindy, Jim’s sister Mary and the rest of the Kennedy family, I’m so sorry to hear about your sudden loss. I only have good memories of Jim and it’s equally good to see the wonderful things others have said about him in this guest book. It’s plain to see he stayed the same human being he was back in school and grew into a great husband and father. My best wishes to you all.

Jimmy was a classic loyal generous family man - the real deal. A lot of memories growing up with Spoon battling on the hoops court, I enjoyed re-connecting with him the last few years on his trips through Atlanta. Cindy, Madeleine and the Kennedy family - so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to all of Jim's family. I was a fraternity brother while attending Drake Univ with Jim. Always a good, trustworthy, honorable man. I had the good fortune of seeing Jim a couple years ago at a reunion in Chicago and he was still that tall, well mannered guy I knew in college. Bless Jim, his family, and friends. I know he will be dearly missed.
