KIMBALL, James Robert (Jim) January 23, 1924 - September 30, 2009 With grieving hearts the family of James Robert Kimball announces his peaceful passing, following numerous health issues on September 30, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Jim is forever cherished by his loving wife Dorothy of 55 years, daughter Susan (Bob) Aldrich of Kitscoty, AB; son Dan (Wendy) Kimball of Spring Hill, Florida and Bill (Sandra) Kimball of St. Albert; grandchildren Joshua of Red Deer, Sarah (Travis) of Winterburn and Jacob Aldrich of Kitscoty, Christopher, Addison Mae and D. Walker (1 month) Kimball of Spring Hill, Florida, Robyn, Ryan and Michael Kimball of St. Albert; as well as one great-grandchild Owen. He now joins in heaven his much loved parents E. Robert and Margaret Kimball, his son Bob, and granddaughter Amy Aldrich. Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, he served proudly in the U.S. Navy through World War II, he graduated from the California Arts Center of Design post-Navy and became a professional photographer. He came to Canada to be among the first staff at NAIT in 1963, teaching photography. He loved his family, the beauty of the world which he shared through his photography and was a man of generosity, warmness and kindness, offering a hand whenever needed. A Celebration of Jim's Life led by son-in-law Reverend Bob Aldrich will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403-St. Albert Trail, on Monday, October 5, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate your act of kindness or a helping hand to someone else in need as he did. Dear Aunt Dodie, cousins and family,
We know your hearts are aching and you will miss your husband, dad and grandpa very much. We will miss our uncle as well. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers during these sad days. Wish we could be with you now too. With love from your niece and her family.

I was very saddened to read of your loss. Jim was a wonderful fellow. From the time he came over in 1974 and welcomed us at the lake to the last time I saw him. There are so many memories of him and your families warmth and kindness. Thoughts of the massive gatherings in your yard to the chats with him and all the times in between. We thoroughly enjoyed watching your family grow and thrive, with the same kindness and thoughtfulness. He will be missed by my family and many more. We couldnt have had a better lake neighbor. My deepest sympathy to all of his beloved family. Sincerely, Shirley Zygun
