James M. Kloeppel

James M. Kloeppel, fortified with the sacraments, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the age of 74.

Loving husband for almost 50 years to Jackie Kloeppel (nee Kaltenbach); beloved father of Brooke (Travis) Watson and Douglas (Tracie) Kloeppel; proud grandfather of Brayden and Sarah; brother of Louis (Linda) Kloeppel, Joseph (Gerri) Kloeppel, William Kloeppel, and the late Jerry (the late Rennie) Kloeppel; brother-in-law of Sandy (the late Roger) Reinhardt, William (Linda) Kaltenbach, Mary (the late David) Moss, Nancy (Dennis) Bartlett and Clark (Karen) Kaltenbach; loving uncle, cousin, godfather, coach, Boy Scout leader, and friend to many.

Jim grew up in South County, graduated from Vianney High School in 1965, and met his future wife, Jackie, while working together at INDEECO. In 1972, they were married at Immaculate Church in Maplewood, MO and enjoyed many happy years living in Bolingbrook, IL, Affton, MO, and later Chesterfield, MO. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish with his brothers and friends. He was deeply patriotic and served 8 years in The Missouri National Guard. He loved watching his Grandchildren’s activities and cheering for all St Louis teams. Jim was a kind and honorable man who helped anyone in need and will be greatly missed.

Jim passed away due to complications of smoking and the family requests everyone please stop smoking!

Services: Funeral service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or the Girl Scouts of the USA.  Visitation on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
