James L. Paz, 55, of Brackenridge, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016. He was born Feb. 11, 1961, in Natrona Heights, the son of the late Frank and Alice Heinle Paz. Jim was a 1979 graduate of Highlands High School. He was also a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. Jim practiced law since his graduation. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish in Natrona and the Oregon Club in Brackenridge. Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycle and riding quads and spending time with his son. He is survived by his son, Braedon Paz, and his mother, Kristen Bubash; brothers, Frank P. (Sue) Paz, of Natrona Heights, and John N. Paz, of Natrona Heights; and by his niece and nephew, Sarah and Leo Paz.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Ladislaus Church, Natrona, with his pastor, the Rev. John B. Lendvai, as celebrant. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Burial will be private. The Oregon Club will hold services at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jim may be made to the Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, 533 Linden Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068; or the St. Joseph Parish, 1526 Union Ave., Natrona Heights, PA 15065. To send an online condolence, please visit www.cicholski-zidekfh.com.
