REGAN, James E. "Jim" Of Waltham & Mashpee, passed away Wednesday evening, March 24th, 2021 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis at the age of 82.

Born on July 21, 1938 in Waltham, son of the late James E. Regan and Helen (Toomey) Regan. Jim was a lifelong resident of Waltham and for the past 30 years spent time between his home in Waltham and in Mashpee.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Phyllis (Lopez) Regan, his devoted & loving children James E. "Jamie" Regan, III of Mashpee, David Regan of Waltham, Kimberly Regan of Eldorado Springs, CO, and Timothy Regan and his wife Deborah of Bedord, his cherished grandchildren Katelynn, Sarah, Elizabeth and Timothy, his adoring great-grandchildren Isabell and Madelynn. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family who will miss him dearly.

He was predeceased by his cherished grandson James E. "Jake" "Moose" Regan, IV and his dear father-in-law and mother-in-law, Felix A. Lopez and Dorothy Lopez.

For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time, those who wish to pay their respects to Jim and his family can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal, State and Local guidelines in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, MA on Sunday afternoon, March 28th, from 1-4 pm. We ask that friends please be mindful and respectful of current limitations with regard to social gatherings. For those who wish to pay their final respects, but are unable to attend, please be sure to sign the guestbook at

Following the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Boston, family and friends are welcome to gather and Celebrate Jim's Life and remember the love he shared with those he touched at a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 Trapelo Rd., Waltham, on Monday, March 29th at 12:00 pm. His Burial will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Those who cannot be present may view a live-stream of the Service, starting on Monday at 11:45 am, by going to harborviewvideo.com/brasco
