Uncka Jim,
It didn't matter what time of year it was, you always managed to pull off the country sleeveless look unless you were wearing a Steelers jersey. Even then i think you cut the sleeves on a couple of those too. Actually, I think you held onto the 80's fashion in general. I adored that about you. You never seemed to care about what judgement people placed on you and that's where I know I got my strength. Though times may have been tough, you kept a smile on your face and never showed worry. I remember when i came to your apartment for the first time and you told me you were the only white guy in the neighborhood but you didn't mind because everyone liked you....that was the truth. You made the struggle seem easy by appreciating the little things. Without knowing it, you had a part of making me the woman I am today. Stronger than ever. I would like to have another beer at the V.F.W. with you but instead have an ice cold one ready for me when I meet you in Heaven. Love you always. Your kniece, Serenity.

Jim -
I remember your time when you followed Gail's footsteps to California and lived for a while with my family in Camarillo. Along with Gail, we had a lot of fun together in those days. You were always open to whatever life threw your way. You were a kind and caring soul, with a contagious smile and great sense of humor. I can still hear your voice calling me 'sis'. I will always remember you as you were back in those days when all our lives were more carefree.
Cheers, my friend!

Dear Brother-We had some good times growing up. We worked at the same restaurant when first joining the work force as teens. We shared some friends and parties, though there was 2 years difference between us. You could always make people laugh, were always of good cheer. You were a hard-core Steelers fan. You were a pretty good cook. You liked to fish the river, and have a beer or two with friends. You could always lift me up when I was down, just in the way you answered the phone when I called long distance. Now, its your turn to be lifted up. Lifted up in prayers to heaven as you leave this earth, into the company of angels, and of Our Lord. I love you, and will miss your humor, your laugh, your face.
