Janice Lea Beedie

Mrs. Janice Lea Beedie, age 70, of Oolitic, Indiana went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 7:17 AM at IU Health Bedford Hospital, Bedford, Indiana. She was born August 25, 1940, in Oolitic, Indiana, the daughter of Tip and Effie (Swafford) Mills. She was a 1958 Graduate of Oolitic High School, Oolitic, Indiana. She married Clyde H. Beedie on September 27, 1958, and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2008. She worked at General Electric in Bloomington, Indiana for 27 years, retiring in 1997. She attended Springville Trinity Pentecost Mission, was an avid IU Basketball fan, loved to cook for her family and friends, loved the outdoors and swimming pool activity. She was a wonderful Mother, Granny, Great-Granny, and Sister, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by three daughters, Lesa (Mike) Bell of Mitchell, IN, Debra (Paul) Gratzer of Bedford, IN, and Janna (Tim) Abell of Springville, IN; one son, Mike (Tina) Beedie of Bedford, IN; 8 Grandchildren, Stacy (John) Ritter of Bedford, IN, Amber (Travis) Thorne of Bedford, IN, Lindsey (Zach) Terrell of Mitchell, IN, Michelle (P.J.) Gratzer and Michael Gratzer both of Bedford, IN, Tanner Abell and Brianna Abell both of Springville, IN and Logan Bell of Mitchell, IN; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew Terrell, Lance Terrell, Grant Thorne, Parker Thorne, Bryant Thorne Payton Johnson and Colton Johnson; one sister, Karen Joy Brown of Fayetteville, IN; three sisters-in-law, Anna Mills of Oolitic, IN, Rose Stiles of Bedford, IN and Lucille (Pete) Pearson of Bedford, IN; and Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Clyde H. Beedie on July 18, 2008, 4 Brothers, Frank Willie, Garvin and twin brother Jan Mills, 1 Sister, Helen Marie in infancy. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Reverend Wendell Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Bedford, Indiana. Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM on Monday, April 4, 2011 and from 10 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, Indiana.
