Jason G. Richter, age 45, a resident of Wrightstown, went home to Heaven on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side.
Jason was born on March 25, 1977 in Manitowoc, son of Glen and Sharon (Denor) Richter. Jason attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and was a graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School, Class of 1995. He then furthered his education at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Master’s Degree in finance and marketing. Jason was employed at Kimberly Clark for the last 23 plus years. He very much enjoyed the corporate finance sector and the challenge it brought.
On September 8, 2012 he married the former Valerie Yakley at Mount Olive, Appleton.
Jason was an avid deer hunter and outdoor enthusiast. If he wasn’t working, he was up north on his land in Pembine or on a camping trip with family and friends.
Family was very important to him. Without a doubt, his daughter, Lillyan was his joy.
Survivors include his wife: Valerie Richter; their daughter: Lillyan Richter; his parents: Glen and Sharon Richter; and his siblings: Jessica (Michelle) Richter, Matthew (Rachel) Richter, and Jacob (Hanna) Richter; Grandma: Florence Denor; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bruce & Karen Yakley and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Elizabeth (Art) Pryzl and Claire Yakley. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Delmar & Ruby Richter and Wilbert Denor; an uncle and aunt: Don and Carol Holtz, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brillion. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Ross Henzi with burial in Brillion Community Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
Online condolences may be made. Pielhop Wieting Funeral Homes of Brillion & Reedsville are assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, living plants or memorials would be appreciated to the Glioma Brain Cancer Foundation.

Dear Sharon & family, This is coming late but I had heard about your son passing away . It is sad that his time here on this earth is over but know that he now doesn't have to suffer anymore. May you find comfort in knowing that.
Our sincere condolences.

A true lover of the outdoors, I recall an ice fishing trip to Lake Mille Lacs in Minnesota that Jason invited me along on. We fished all day and night with limited success but with a few beers along the way to keep us "warm". The last morning Jason was too tired to put out his tip ups but told me to borrow his. I caught my only walleye of the weekend. 30" 9 lbs. My biggest walleye ever! Thanks Jason for your generosity and your sense of humor. You will be missed. Hope they have trophy fishing in Heaven. Save me a spot next to you. Rest in peace.

Jason was so great to work with - I really enjoyed getting to know him through work. And it was nice reconnecting recently at our daughter’s mutual events and getting to meet Valerie and Lillyan. Valerie, Lillyan and family, we are so sorry for your loss and will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Jason
Over the past ten years, I have observed what great parents you two have been for Lillyan. During the last five months, I have spent many days with Lillyan. She is one of the brightest, most mature and talented ten year old I have seen in my many years of teaching. You can be assured that her mother and family will continue in their devotion to keep Lillyan's best interest in mind. Rest in peace Jason, your daughter whom you two gave her a strong foundation, will grow up to be an amazing woman. Gal 6:7 Be not deceived, God who saith: for whatsoever a man soweth, that he shall also reap.

Many laughs and fun with Jason in school as his locker was next to mine for four years. Inside jokes and just a super guy to have had the pleasure of knowing. My condolences to his family, may he rest peacefully in God’s arms.

You always want to surround yourself with good people...those who are kind, intelligent, have a good sense of humor, and respectful of all things. Jason satisfied all of the above. It was a pleasure working with him. I am very sorry-and extremely sad-to hear this news.

Jason was a great friend -- one of the special ones from the MLHS class of 1995. He will be missed, but the assurance of heaven we have because of his faith in Christ brings us great comfort. Prayers for his family.
