Thought I'd speak one more time to my good college friend and USC hockey teammate. Dobber could stir it up. He was smart and funny and a tough loyal friend. There were many adventures, but I don't think any would be appropriate to recount here! Thank for the good times. You're missed.

We met Dobre in college at ASU through Brad Allinson. We have wonderful memories of Jeff and we were lucky to have run into him one New Years in Vail and we all drove back to LA spending a lot of time talking. We are sending our hugs, thoughts and prayers to the Dobbs family. Dobre - we wish you light speed and one day we'll reunite. For now, peace be with you and we'll look for rainbow pics in the sky. I was shocked to hear that Jeff had passed away. I'll always remember Jeff as the kid that lived on Roland drive with the infectious smile and great big chubby cheeks. If Jeff had lived the be 100 years old, I would still be shocked at this passing. Whether it's 50 plus years or 100 years , Jeff left us way too soon. Such a nice person from a wonderful family. I just hope that it's ages before someone else from the class of 1983 passes away. Everytime I pass Royle School and then Roland drive, I won't think about the sadness that Jeff has passed, I'll remember that kid that lived on Roland drive with the larger than life smile and personality. and try not to be sad. I'll try the think of long but not forgotten memories and I'll smile as I remember back then. But my smile will never be as brilliant as Jeff's was

I honestly can't picture Jeff without that big engaging smile on his face. He'll always be a part of everyone who knew him. I'm lucky and thankful to keep him in my heart as childhood friend.

Jeffrey is gone years and years too soon. He was a darling little boy who grew into a sweet man with many talents and skills. He taught me to make Thai curry, a lifelong gift! We never saw each other often enough, but when we did, he always made me feel as though we had a special bond of understanding and our own together space. He could do that. My love and wishes of comfort and peace to Anne, Craig, Kristen and all who are grieving for Jeff today.

Kristen, I am beyond words to learn about Jeff's passing. So many fun times spent at your house being teased by Jeff...eat those carrots...I can here him now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I never got to spend much time with Jeff. But the times I did share with Jeff were unforgettable. I especially remember when we were in Mexico with Craig. As you can see, he spread smiles. So sad to hear of his passing. Prayers up for you Jeff and those y

Very sad news. My best to the family. Jeff was a great guy and teammate.
Being friends with Kristen since we were 5 basically made me feel like Jeff was another brother. He was larger than life with his big personality and dry humor and always ready for fun/adventure/party or whatever sounded like a good plan. I know that Madi

Being friends with Kristen since we were 5 basically made me feel like Jeff was another brother. He was larger than life with his big personality and dry humor and always ready for fun/adventure/party or whatever sounded like a good plan. I know that Madison was one of the happiest places on earth for him so I look forward to celebrating his life with all the people that loved him. I will carry him with me in my heart and my memories -- I will miss you El Diablo!! xoxox

Dobre, as Jeff was known to many of his Darien friends, was just a fabulous friend with a great and unique personality. Talented, funny, loyal, intelligent and athletically skilled are a few of his attributes that come to mind right away. Reading his obituary makes it seem like he packed a lot of travel, experience and adventure into his 50+ years, and he certainly lived his life to the fullest. Always a class act, generous and kind, I will miss Jeff, his subtle and wry humor and his understated laugh but will cherish the times we spent together, trips we went on, hockey games we played in and many other events we both shared. Sending my condolences to all the Dobbs' and everyone who was lucky enough to know and love him. RIP Dobre~

Being friends with Jeff since elementary school was the easiest! Our families were tight and so naturally he and I had a great friendship near and far. No one could make me laugh harder than Jeff and French class at Middlesex drew command performances from him. Reconnecting with him recently made my life - we picked up on the phone as if no time had passed with him digging out hilarious jokes in french that I had completely forgotten about. His last message to me in Facebook simply said "Allo, Moi !!!" and so it's only fitting that I send him off with "Jusqu'au revoir. Repose en paix mon ami"
All love to the Dobbs and wish I could be there in person to celebrate my dear friend. xoxo
