Jeffrey Verlyn Jensen

5/24/1959 12/16/2020 It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Jeffrey Verlyn Jensen, a cherished son, adored brother, dearly loved husband, devoted father, nephew, cousin, uncle, trusted friend, and esteemed colleague. Jeff was our "Go-to Guy" and the one we all called first if we had a problem or needed advice. He possessed an unbelievable talent for assessing the situation and strategizing the perfect solution. It was one of his most exceptional gifts. Born in Riverside, CA to VerLyn NaDell Jensen and Cecilia Diane Jensen (nee Hamilton), Jeff grew up in Tustin where he attended Tustin Unified schools (primary through high school) and cultivated many lifelong friendships. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (formerly Boalt Hall). He practiced law for 35 years, specializing in Real Estate and Estate Planning. It was while attending law school that Jeff met his love, his soul mate and partner in life, Jena Marie Cassidy. Wed in 1986, Jeff and Jena settled in Tustin, where their children Maxwell (29), Kathleen (25) and Erin (23) were born and raised. Jeff's wit and dry sense of humor were legendary, as was his intelligence, which is why most everyone in his family and every one of his friends would often say he was "the smartest guy I know." The ultimate outdoorsman, Jeff excelled at all things adventurous including camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding. His life's greatest passion, however, was his love of his family, which superseded all else. There are those who are put on this earth to brighten your day, and others whose purpose is to bring light to your life. For all of us lucky enough to have crossed Jeff's path, to have been a part of his world, to have been on the receiving end of the goodness that came so naturally to him, we were blessed to have had his bright, brilliant light bring wisdom and joy to our lives each and every day.
