Joan Hemmerick Obituary
Daughter, Wife, Mother, Mother in law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin and friend to many! She lived her life as simply as possible. A born actress of rare innocence whose considerable talent placed New York and Broadway within her grasp, that is before she met the one true love of her life, James William Hemmerick. She and her husband loved and lived through World War II as well as the Korean War. Sharing life and love with her family and friends through countless adventures, she bore witness to her faith and continued to take daily strength through her belief which never waivered.
Private burial services were held Wednesday August 19 at Joshua Memorial.

Grandma Joan,
Wow, what can I say about this beautiful soul, who enriched my life with her infectious laugh, stories, humor, kindness and ingenuity? That's just it! Grandma I've known you as long as I've know our beautiful Sheila! I thank her for bringing you into my life for the past 15 years. You always treated me like your granddaughter and made me feel apart of your family... You always made sure I'd leave your home smiling and laughing. You were a great lady who loved your family with every fiber of your being. Please keep everyone in paradise laughing and smiling as you did for me. Please guard Sheila and Braiden with all of your love and light as well.

Grandma-
I have missed you so much, for awhile now. There was a long period in my life you were all I had, you were my rock. You never judged me and I knew you loved me. Without you, Uncle Dave and I were lost. I'm sorry that I didn't get to say goodbye but I know that I will see you again! I feel you. I had the privilege to take care of mrs Joan as her CNA at Kaweah manor. She was loving fun and a bright star. She loved to talk about my daughter Shyla and I would being her pictures of her in and also bring Shyla to visit Joan. When I would come to work I would say I'm her tada!! And she would laugh and smile and put her hands together. We would sit in her bed and talk before she fell asleep and I would assure her she was someone very special. I will miss you dearly mom. Thank you for all the memories and for making me love what I do even more. Love you Felicia ❤

Joan, so long you were a part of my life even though you left Magnet Avenue when I was a little girl. Your Christmas letters to my Mom were always shared with me and I will forever remember how you still kept in touch as long as you were able to. Much love.

She was a good friend who had a kind heart. She loved country music, especially Toby Keith. She adopted a dog that I gave her, and spoiled her rotten. Her faith in God was strong, and she was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be sorely missed.
