She is predeceased by her first husband Lt. Commander Richard G. Taipale; sister Connie Marks; and stepson Scott Viera. She is survived by her husband Bill Hutchinson, her children and stepchildren Mary Ann Tegenborg, Peter Viera, Amy Morris, and Lindsey Pickering; and seven grandchildren.
