John KLINGBEIL Obituary
June 19, 1932 - October 3, 2014
Rev. John Klingbeil passed away peacefully after a short illness October 3, 2014 surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; his children: Charlene (Peter), Daniel (Leslie), Lori and Timothy; six grandchildren; his twin brother, Werner (Michele); his brother, Norman (Faye); numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents: Ludwig and Ella; and his brother Bruno.
John was a Lutheran pastor and a military chaplain, who devoted himself to serving others. He was a man of prayer, deep faith and compassion.
Funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 9907 - 114 Street, Edmonton.

Tim, I am very sorry to learn of the death of your father. Over 30 years ago, he confirmed me to the church while I lived in Griesbach. I looked forward to going with you and Lori on Sundays, when you'd swing round and pick me up.
You were both good friends and I really respected your father.
I'm in Calgary all these years. Still in the phone book.
Take care my friend. Perhaps we'll catch up one day.

I was sorry to hear of John's passing and send my sincere sympathy, prayers and love to you Margaret as well as your family. I can just imagine John and Oscar sitting around the heavenly banquet table discussing all those "weighty theological issues"!! He was a good friend. Well done good and faithful servant!
