So sorry to hear about John's passing. A truly unique person that was one of the funniest people I've ever met. John vacationed with us in Vegas and even stayed at our house in San Diego. RIP John.

Sincerest condolences to all who loved John. He was a big part of our Friday Night Hockey crew for many, many years, and his edgy humor always brought smiles. He will be missed.

My wife Kathy and I would like to share our deepest condolences to the Marley family. The news of John´s passing has really set me back.
I´ve know John for 40 years. I first met John at CYO baseball. We graduated from Bishop Gallagher together. We also played hockey together since the late 80s I´ve always looked forward to John´s sense of humor, even though I was usually the butt of his jokes. After spending time with John I would chuckle to myself days later at something he said. John made this world a better place with his sense of humor, and his friendship.
John traveled with us and attended many family functions. John´s presence always made every event more colorful to say the least. Vacationing with John to Vegas and San Diego was off the charts funny!
I will miss John when he´s not golfing with us, or he´s not at a family event. I will miss his humor, and I will miss laughing with him.

My condolences to the Marley family. I truly share your grief. John will be missed. He had a legendary sense of humor, retaliatory wit, and no filter (which augmented the humor).
John, an avid sports fan, was part of a group of friends who play hockey every Friday night starting in the 90´s. He stopped playing several years ago , but we continued to golf on Saturdays during and long after his hockey playing days were over. John loved the locker room banter before , during and after both golf and hockey. Those present for his opinion, counter-opinion, and then brutal character assaults will forever remember his ability to entertain. His memory will certainly live on in these circles.

Sincere condolences to the entire Marley family. John was around 5 yrs old when I began playing sports at the Marley house, as a freshman in high school. Nevertheless he was beyond his years as a tennis ball goalie, out back. He and his defenseman `Pookie Dornhopper (cocker spaniel)´ were quite the defensive pair. I along with the rest of the world will miss John´s great sense of humor.
