JOHN MAXIN Obituary
One of the strongest, most caring and honest hearts of gold beat for the last time January 17, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. This heart belonged to our beloved "Jack," John Anthony Maxin, Sr. Husband of Patricia (Muscati) Maxin; father of John Maxin, Jr. (Amber), Jackie Benson (Greg) and Michelle (Eglberger) Maxin; cherished grandfather of Bryan (Jenn) and Michael Eglberger, Matthew, Kurtis, and Lindsay Benson, Carissa and Karlee Maxin; great-grandfather of Tyler Eglberger. Surviving brothers and sisters, Joe, Paul, George, Marge Curcio, Francis, Tom, Andy, Anna Garriti and the late Zeke, Martha and Bob. A life-long resident of Moon and Coraopolis, he was owner of Maxin's Lawn Mower Service and retired as Director of Maintenance from Rockwell International. Visitation Thursday 7-9 and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 at COPELAND'S Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. with prayer on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Maxin family at this sad occasion. I came to know Jack while spending time with the Balchons, and I often teased him because he was often tinkering with something and always busy. Jack was a wonderful, kind man who would lend a hand to anyone. He did indeed have a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Jack.
